Cellulite and Stretchmark Treatment

Flat stomachThis is the first treatment for cellulite and stretchmark reduction that works. It is quick and pain free. This is not another claim with little validity. Like many other life changing inventions it was discovered by accident. It has been developed by Storz Medical who are market leaders in the medical technology field (see their video for more details). They manufacture equipment used in hospitals to break up kidney stones.

Storz developed machines which provided excellent results for calcifications and soft tissue pain. These use sound waves, (acoustic waves) and are used for treating shoulder pain, tennis and golfers elbow, patellar tendonitis (jumpers knee), shin splints, tendon pain, heel spurs and plantar fasciitis, chronic neck, shoulder and back pain and painful muscle nodules.

Whilst treating athletes for these injuries it was discovered that they had a remarkable improvement in the appearance of stretch marks, cellulite and scar tissue. Tissues tightened.

What is Cellulite?

Cellulite gives an ‘orange peel ‘ or lumpy appearance to the skin. Up to 98% of women have cellulite. It is more common in women than men and this is because women’s fat is distributed differently. Their fat lays perpendicular to the skin and is dragged downwards, unevenly by the supporting connective tissues.

Who Would Benefit

What are the causes of Cellulite?

Recent studies show that the connective tissue support for fat, or
fibrous septae. harden and tighten around fat. This leads to the dimpled appearance blocking the underlying blood supply and drainage to the area. This leads to even more hardening of the connective tissues. The fat cells then push into the underlying part of the skin known as the reticular dermis. This worsens the dimpling.

The Treatment

Our cellulite and stretchmark treatment is non invasive and painless. It uses pressure waves that affect the two causes of cellulite, the fibrous septae and fat pushing into the lower part of the skin.

You can see the results of treatment.

Cellulite treatmentIt breaks up collagen and thickens the skin, which prevents the fat from pushing against it. This reduces the ‘dimpled’ appearance. Blood flow and drainage to the area returns and the health of the skin improves.

Cellulite, scar tissue and stretch marks reduce.

Typically patients are treated twice a week for three weeks with sessions taking usually less that half an hour. Additional treatments may be necessary for some people. It may be necessary to have a maintenance session generally in about 5 months

The Results

Studies have shown that 50% of people see an improvement by the sixth session. An additional 20% see an improvement within six weeks of treatment as the effects carry on working following treatment.
